Termeno has acquired world renown for one unique wine – its Gewürztraminer. The fantastic climate in the exceptional location of South Tyrol’s Wine Road is what makes it an aromatic white wine variety that is beyond compare. As well as the undulating vineyards, the breath-taking natural surroundings here are characterised by fields of cypress, fig and lemon trees.

With us you really can leap into ‘cold’ water - or maybe not? Just five kilometres north of Termeno, practically on the village doorstep, is South Tyrol’s biggest lake - Lake Caldaro. And in spite of its name (‘kalt’ meaning cold in German after all) it is the warmest swimming lake in the Alps. Unbelievable, and refreshing of course. The Mediterranean landscape and mild climate make this possible. Can you see the banks even now?
